Meet the writer - Joey Lagzdins

  • My name is Joey, and I am an amateur writer living in Northeast Ohio. I gain much of my inspiration from letting my mind wander on long walks, along with appreciating the works of others. I have always been compelled by a good story, and hope to move others in the same way with my own work.

I won’t say too much about myself right now - my hope is that you’ll get to know me through my work. Welcome to JL Creative!

  • Professionally, I have worked in and out of Learning & Development for several years. I have worked for organizations of all sizes and structures in the Cleveland area. If you care to learn more about my career, click here.

Personally, I have always been a creative person. As a kid, I loved to draw cartoons and comics as a way to express the stories I imagined, and I would share these projects with friends and family. Over time, I kept my ideas to myself, but I never stopped creating stories, even if only in my head. Though I have taken fewer chances to express myself creatively as I “grew up,” I am eager to change that, and return to one of the greatest joys of my life: Storytelling.

  • JL Creative is how I plan to share my writing. In the several sections of this website, you will find a few of the smaller works I’ve done, with hopefully greater ones to come.

JL Creative is my hobby, because it’s about time I worked hard on something for the pure purpose of creativity, and sharing it with others. If one day that turns into something more, amazing, but for now it is an outlet for creativity and happiness, which is even more amazing to me.
